02. The data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

- Correspondence: the content of enquiries and messages you send us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, and how you use the website, collected through analytics and similar technologies where enabled.
03. How we collect your data
We collect data when you contact us by email or through the website, when you register interest in or participate in the programme, when a referring club or partner introduces you, and automatically through your use of the website. We may also receive data about you from employer partners, training partners, and referring clubs where relevant to the programme.
04. How we use your data and our lawful bases
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases to process your data:
- Consent: where you have given clear consent for us to process your data for a specific purpose, such as registering your interest in the programme.
- Contract: where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into, or to perform, an agreement with you.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the programme and website, to respond to enquiries, and to match athletes with suitable employer and training partners, where this does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation: where we must process your data to comply with the law.
05. Who we share your data with
We may share your personal data with:
- Employer partners, where you are being matched to or considered for a role, with appropriate care over what is shared;
- Training partners, where you are referred to a course or qualification;
- Referring clubs or organisations, where relevant to your participation in the programme;
- Service providers who support the running of the website and The People System, including hosting and IT providers, acting as our processors;

The People System is operated by Andrews Recruitment Group Ltd and is used to manage athlete profiles, employer roles, training, and development plans. Data held in The People System is processed in line with this policy. We do not sell your personal data.
06. How athlete data is handled
Athlete data is held on The People System portal, operated by Andrews Recruitment Group Ltd. Athlete data only ever reaches us in one of two ways: it is submitted to Andrews Recruitment Group by the athlete’s club, or it is provided directly to Andrews Recruitment Group by the athlete.
We do not share athlete data with any third party, including employers, without the explicit consent of the athlete. An athlete’s profile is only put in front of an employer or other third party once the athlete has agreed to it. For more detail, see our GDPR & Data Protection page.
07. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the reason it is held.
08. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
- object to or request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- request transfer of your data (data portability) where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at tom@andrews-recruitment.com. We will respond within the timescales required by law.
09. Cookies and analytics
The website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where analytics or non-essential cookies are used, we will seek your consent where required. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality of the website.
10. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International transfers
Where we use service providers that process data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection, including by relying on the appropriate safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.
12. Children
The programme may support young athletes. Where we process the data of anyone under 18, we do so with appropriate care and, where required, with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or referring organisation.
